Project Overview
DroneCAS (Drone Collision Avoidance System) is an AI-driven project under EUHubs4Data focusing on improving UAV safety and autonomy. It combines sensor fusion and data-driven models to predict and avoid in-flight collisions in real-time.
Our Goal
Develop collision-avoidance algorithms for drones using AI and sensor fusion. Test and validate these algorithms under realistic operational conditions. Demonstrate EUHubs4Data’s federated infrastructure for UAV applications.
Highlights
Uses federated data and AI services provided through EUHubs4Data. Focused on real-time prediction of potential collisions for autonomous flight. Strengthens cross-sector data usage (AI + UAV safety).
Impact
Improves UAV operational safety through intelligent data-driven sensing. Demonstrates how EUHubs4Data infrastructure can power safety-critical AI applications. Supports future smart-city and logistics applications using drones.
