Project Overview

bPart (“Body Part”) is a miniature wearable sensor platform developed at TECO as part of the TECO Wearable Framework. The modules can be worn or embedded into clothing or objects, supporting activity recognition, motion tracking, and physiological monitoring.

Our Goal

Create small, battery-efficient sensor nodes for body or object integration. Support Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) connectivity for real-time streaming. Provide modular sensing for motion, position, or vital signs.

Highlights

Extremely compact BLE-based sensing platform. Modular architecture for diverse wearable experiments. Reusable hardware within TECO’s broader wearable framework.

Impact

Enables unobtrusive, multi-sensor wearable research. Facilitates fast prototyping for body-based and mobile sensing projects. Lays groundwork for future commercial or healthcare wearable systems.
