Smart Data Solutions for SMEs in Baden-Württemberg
March 9th, 2016 | Published in Research
Besides the BMBF-funded Project SDI-X this project is the second pillar of the state support of the SDIL. The project is funded by the Ministry of science, research and art Baden-Württemberg (MWK) as part of the Smart Data Solution Center Baden-Württemberg (SDSC-BW) to explore the use of suitable smart data technologies for SMEs. The application provides the formal inclusion into the SDILs as it appears now.
The Smart Data Solution Center is a comprehensive contribution for all SDIL-DICs, focusing on tools and technologies that are specific for manufacturing sector SMEs (up to approx.5000 employees) in Baden-Württemberg. The project aim is the research on a simplified access to Smart Data technologies and to facilitate the use of these technologies for SMEs. Within the project smart data analysis of real industrial data sets are performed for SMEs in the form of potential analysis. The goal is it to create an awareness that especially prepares smaller companies for the participation in data innovation communities and that generates interesting analysis as well as recommendation issues. It is intended to realize an involvement particularly into DIC Industry 4.0. (Currently SDSC-BW supervises companies like Herrenknecht, Bilcare Research und Lamy. The public relations department of the SDSC-BW has already enabled SIDL-relevant contacts to ZF, Fischerwerke und Porsche in Baden-Württemberg.)
Within the scope of the project the technically appropriate technologies from the SDIL-context will be indentified. In fact especially the simple usability and the ability to be integrated into existing systems, for example production data acquisition, MES and BI-solutions, will be evaluated. The results are published as success stories. The analysis code will be provided in the SDIL repository.
