TECO at KIT is looking for volunteers and student assistants to support infrastructure in practical computer science. Tasks include maintaining web servers, mail servers, DNS, VLAN infrastructure, AI computing clusters (NVIDIA GPUs), and services used by research partners like edgeML.org. Role may involve hardware, software, and design work.

Firmware- & App-Development, OpenEarable

We are looking for a Research Assistant (HiWi) for the OpenEarable project at TECO, KIT, an open-source AI platform for in-ear sensing. Your responsibilities will include developing and optimizing embedded C++ firmware (sensor interfacing, real-time data processing) and contributing to the companion Flutter app. You should have strong C++ skills for embedded systems; experience with ZephyrOS, BLE, or Flutter is a plus. We offer flexible working hours (40h/month) in an innovative research environment.

Toolchain for Wearable Computing (full time, E13 payment)

We are offering a PhD position focused on developing toolchains to accelerate research and development in Wearable Computing and machine learning. Candidates should have a Master's degree in computer science or a related field with a strong background in ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) and excellent programming skills.
