bPart – a minature IoT BLE module platform

The bPart is a sensor node platform with Bluetooth Low Energy (BT LE) radio and several off the shelf MEMS, gas, light etc. sensors, all highly integrated in a small volume starting from 1cm³. Configuration have been done for industrial settings (Industrie 4.0 etc.), Internet of Things (IoT), environmental sensing (gas, particulate matter / dust) and smart home. Below are some examples of bPart devices build on the bPart platform. The spectrum of the Platform includes

  • Bluetooth low Energy communication class 1 & 2 (400 meter, 40 meter max)
  • Gateway to service / cloud or Smartphone App . Direct access to SDIL high performance Big Data analytics.
  • Various MEMS sensors such as acceleration, IMU
  • Various gas sensors such as CO, CO2, NOx, VOC, O2, Ethanole, SOx
  • Particulate / Dust sensors
  • Environmental Sensors as humidity, temperature
  • Sampling frequencies from 10Hz (standard) to 100Hz (1kHz possible with BLE/BT4.2 type)
  • Various Energy sources such as primary cell type battery, rechargeable battery, harvested energy (e.g. solar cell)
  • Various housings such as IP65/67, ruggedized housings, environmental sensing (gas permeable) housings, commodity housings
  • Low energy consumption and long term operation (standby 2µW, 75µWs per packet)
  • Fast adaptable through modular system design and high level firmware
